This report is based on a thematic explorative study conducted by BBC Media Action on the barriers faced by older people and people with disabilities in relation to three highlighted dimensions of accountability: information provision, inclusion in decision-making, and feedback and complaint mechanisms. Along with community members, this report includes the views of humanitarian practitioners who work with individuals with disabilities and older adults to discover how they ensure accountability to these populations despite the obstacles.

This research was conducted under the project ““Integrated & Coordinated Critical Services to Reduce Health Risks & Underlying Causes of Undernutrition within Refugee and Host Communities in Cox’s Bazar” where BBC Media Action with partnership of Translators Without Borders (TWB) supported humanitarian practitioners) to engage effectively with Rohingya and host communities through the funding from European Commission Humanitarian Aid (ECHO).
