Grameenphone is the first company to introduce GSM technology in Bangladesh when it launched its services in March 1997. Grameenphone's entire network is EDGE/GPRS enabled and so all our subscribers have access to the internet. Grameenphone has introduced many services like Community Information Center, Healthline and Studyline to reduce the digital divide in Bangladesh. Grameenphone is a joint venture between Telenor (56%) of Norway and Grameen Telecom (34%) of Bangladesh. Grameenphone is a public limited company listed with the Dhaka Stock Exchange Limited and Chittagong Stock Exchange Limited.
