Shelter/NFI sector has developed some additional IEC materials, with the support from other sectors and partner organisations, aiming at the construction or the improvement of the shelters.
These materials include –
This IEC material is primarily designed to use as a part of the Shelter Tie Down Kit but can also be used in information hubs or within community spaces. This material is developed with the support from Caritas, IOM, and UNHCR.
This IEC material should be used prior to shelter construction and provides guidance on site selection, site preparation and DRR (Disaster risk reduction) elements to be incorporated in shelter construction. This material is intended to be used with the distribution of Upgrade Shelter Kits but can also be used in information hubs and within community spaces. This material is developed in coordination with Site Management Sector.
This IEC material should be used prior to tie down of CGI roofs of community facilities as well as latrines/showers. The latrine/shower related design was carried out in coordination with the WASH Sector.
